ARVID ERIKSSON - Writer/Director




Swedish born director Arvid Eriksson has developed a unique tone of voice in his films. With an innate feeling for comic timing and extensive knowledge of post production he combines strong visuals and quirky characters in a dry rhythmic blend of his own. Under the umbrella of Instrument Films he has written and directed several films which as been nominated and won awards around the world.

Arvid is currently living in Auckland - New Zealand and is working on his first feature film project while directing commercials, music videos and on-air identity.

Broadcasting rights for Eradescape, Let Go, Matinee and Airhead has been sold to Italy, France, Spain, Scandinavia, Canada and Argentina. Let Go won first price at eMotion in South Korea, was nominated for best short in London's Soho Short Film Festival, and the Swedish Film Institute funded a blow-up to 35mm. Let Go is currently touring Swedish cinemas. Airhead and Matinee were nominated for best shortfilm in DepicT - Bristol International Film Festival. In 2006 the British Film Council sponsored Arvid to go to the Berlinale Talent Campus with Woodcutter’s Joy.
